Captive Bred Great Crested Newts

One British species which I cannot regularly photograph in the wild is the Great Crested Newt (Triturus cristatus) due to their protected status. Captive bred animals are exempt from protection under the Wildlife & Countryside Act and so I keep a small captive bred group at home (including an albino specimen).

  1. I have 20 year established pond.newts have populated it. I have noticed that there is an adult albino/cream colored newt in it. Its only this year I have noticed it, defiantly not like the others, possibly 30 plus newts. Please advise me. Thank you. Melanie.
